The Temporal Project, much like Memorie and Area 99 projects, is a more universal project I came up with which originally is a reality bending fighting game, where characters of various realities fight each other, or save their worlds from the scientific project that got given to the wrong hands.
Like Memorie and Area 99, the Temporal Project is going to be more... different than what I originally planned. However, this one has two phases, for now.
The Prelude Phase consists of a short webcomic, and a small RPG game made in RPG Maker MV, which will be a free to play game. This focuses on the times before the big part of the project, the main project itself, takes place.
In the webcomic, which will be in the Manga Style, Dr. Robert Massler's backstory is told. This tells the beginning of the project, as well as the continuation, under someone other than Dr. Massler. I cannot spoil anything yet, but I do plan on drawing again eventually, and when I get a tablet to let me draw, more specifically a tablet with a screen, I will then need to find a way to post said comic.
In the RPG Game [currently a planned, and yet to be executed, RPG Maker MV project], you control a nameless child focused on slowing down the Temporal Project with people in other realities. It's a dangerous task, but the nameless child accepts it. With Arriani, who just happens to be the first partner to the nameless child, they set off on finding a way to slow down the Temporal Project. This game will have a summon mechanic, similar to a gacha game, but doesn't use microtransactions and any duplicates will be a reroll.
The Temporal Project will be a fighting game, currently planned to be made in Unreal Engine, but may be changed.
This fighting game continues where the Prelude Phase ended. A few of the characters in the Prelude Phase return, excluding the player character in the prelude phase game. In this game, you play as characters from the other realities, with their own unique abilities, against other characters, again, from different realities.
Arcade Mode will have a story tied to each of the characters, and even a final story.
Completing the Arcade mode with certain characters gives more insight to the state of the world in which the project takes place in. After getting all the canonical endings, the final story will begin. In the Final Story, you play as a large team of characters, that you played in Arcade Mode, and put an end to the Temporal Project, or at least attempt to.
The game will be titled "Temporal Conflict", which is planned to be the name of this game.
I have big plans for this project, such as expanding the number of realities merging. We'll see what happens, eh?
